May 12th- Geneva —> Zürich
We woke up in Geneva and had a continental breakfast at our hotel. Then we got on the bus to drive to Bern, the political capital of Switzerland. In Bern, we went to the Cathedral and saw its famous stained glass window. In the plaza, we analyzed the venue and went through things to consider if holding an event at the cathedral. As cathedrals here are often used for non religious events as well.
Then we grabbed a quick lunch. Some of us went to Einstein Cafe, as Albert Einstein lived in Bern when he invented the equation, E = mc^2. We got to see the bears of Bern on our way to the bus! Bears are a key part of Bern history due to the founder naming the city after the first animal he saw on his hunt in that area.
Then we got on the bus to continue our journey to Zürich! Our highlight of the night was our cooking class with Chef Thomas for dinner! Divided into three groups, we made salad, beef filet, and ice cream! It was delicious and so much fun. We learned so many new things and had fun while doing it!!
Now we are back at the hotel and are excited for our adventure to Germany tomorrow!
Until next time,
Lexi & Emma
